Thanks to all those people who made the effort to pitch up to endure my 45 minute soliloquy at digital hot-shop ‘StartJG’ on the subject of uncontroversial creativity’s role in advertising. Great audience.
Hyundai pulled its ad featuring a man who attempts suicide by asphyxiating himself with car exhaust fumes. As a result of the criticism this ad attracted (and because of its resemblance to my Citroën spec ad – see site) I was contacted by the BBC to participate in a live discussion on the subject of controversial advertising. Plans to broadcast the discussion didn’t go ahead because its producers felt that this also would be too controversial. Hilarious.
I have been invited to talk about my work and the ideas that continue to influence it.
This talk will take place at 12.30 on Tuesday April 30th at hot digital agency StartJG (based Soho / London)
I will be illustrating my talk with work in print and film.
StartJG’s address is: 2 Sheraton Street London W1F 8BH
Please feel free to pitch up.
