Hyundai pulled its ad featuring a man who attempts suicide by asphyxiating himself with car exhaust fumes. As a result of the criticism this ad attracted (and because of its resemblance to my Citro├źn spec ad – see site) I was contacted by the BBC to participate in a live discussion on the subject of controversial advertising. Plans to broadcast the discussion didn’t go ahead because its producers felt that this also would be too controversial. Hilarious.
